TypingMonk is a free, fast-growing online typing platform used by hundreds of thousands of students, professionals, and government exam aspirants across India and worldwide. We are looking for a passionate Digital Marketing Intern who will help us grow our organic reach, produce genuinely helpful content, and build the backlink profile that pushes TypingMonk to the top of Google search results.

What You'll Do

  • Write high-quality, original, non-AI-generated blog posts (1,200–2,500 words) on typing speed, exam preparation, keyboard tips, and productivity topics
  • Research and implement on-page SEO improvements: title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking, and keyword targeting
  • Identify link-building opportunities — guest posts, directory submissions, niche forums, edu/gov backlinks — and execute outreach campaigns
  • Monitor Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 to track keyword rankings, impressions, CTR, and organic traffic growth
  • Conduct keyword research using free/paid tools (Ubersuggest, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner) to find low-competition, high-intent queries
  • Audit existing blog posts and pages for SEO gaps and submit improvement recommendations
  • Create and manage social media content (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X) to drive referral traffic
  • Track competitor sites and identify content gaps we can fill

What We're Looking For

  • Strong English writing skills — every blog post must be original, well-researched, and human-written. AI-generated submissions will not be accepted.
  • Basic understanding of on-page SEO (title tags, H1/H2 structure, meta descriptions, keyword density)
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, or willingness to learn quickly
  • Awareness of white-hat link-building strategies (guest posting, broken-link outreach, HARO)
  • Ability to write consistently — at least 2 polished articles per week
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, English, Journalism, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory)

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience writing for a blog, news site, or content agency
  • Understanding of Core Web Vitals and technical SEO basics
  • Experience with Canva or basic graphic design for social media assets
  • Knowledge of the Indian government exam ecosystem (SSC, RRB, UPSSSC, etc.)

What You'll Gain

  • Official internship completion certificate issued by TypingMonk — verifiable and shareable on LinkedIn
  • Real-world SEO and content marketing experience on a live, high-traffic site
  • Hands-on exposure to Google Search Console data and ranking fluctuations
  • A portfolio of published, indexed articles you can show future employers
  • Direct mentorship from the founder
  • Letter of recommendation on company letterhead upon successful completion

Software Engineer Intern

InternshipRemote3–6 monthsExp: 0–6 monthsUnpaid
Apply →

TypingMonk is built on a modern stack — Next.js 15, React 19, TypeScript, PostgreSQL (Neon), and Firebase — and is actively adding AI-powered features. We need a Software Engineer Intern who is comfortable with full-stack web development and excited about integrating AI agents and large language models (LLMs) into real products.

What You'll Do

  • Design and ship new features end-to-end: React/Next.js frontend, API routes, and database changes
  • Integrate AI capabilities using APIs from Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini), and OpenAI (GPT-4o) — chatbots, content generators, personalised practice recommendations
  • Build and iterate on AI agent workflows: tool use, multi-step reasoning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
  • Write clean, typed TypeScript across the full stack (strict mode, SCSS Modules, server components where possible)
  • Implement and maintain PostgreSQL schema migrations and seed scripts
  • Optimise Core Web Vitals — LCP, CLS, INP — and monitor with Lighthouse and real-user data
  • Participate in code reviews, write meaningful commit messages, and keep the codebase tidy
  • Debug reported issues via logs, Firebase Analytics events, and user feedback from the admin panel

What We're Looking For

  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript and React (hooks, state management, component lifecycle)
  • Experience with Next.js App Router or willingness to learn it quickly
  • Familiarity with REST APIs: building routes, handling auth, working with JSON
  • Practical knowledge of at least one AI/LLM platform — ChatGPT API, Google Gemini API, or Claude API — including prompt engineering and tool/function calling
  • Understanding of relational databases and basic SQL (SELECT, INSERT, JOIN, migration patterns)
  • Comfortable using Git and GitHub for version control and pull requests
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to read and understand existing codebases independently

Nice to Have

  • Experience building AI agent pipelines (LangChain, Vercel AI SDK, or similar)
  • Exposure to Next.js App Router, Server Components, and Server Actions
  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL-specific features (Neon serverless, connection pooling)
  • Familiarity with Firebase (Analytics, Auth) or other BaaS platforms
  • Experience with Cloudinary or media pipeline integrations
  • Prior internship or open-source contribution in web development

What You'll Gain

  • Official internship completion certificate issued by TypingMonk — verifiable and shareable on LinkedIn
  • End-to-end ownership of features shipped to real users on a live production site
  • Hands-on experience with cutting-edge AI APIs (Claude, Gemini, GPT-4o) in a product context
  • Deep exposure to modern Next.js patterns — App Router, Server Components, streaming
  • Direct mentorship from the founder on architecture and product decisions
  • A concrete GitHub portfolio of merged production code
  • Letter of recommendation on company letterhead upon successful completion
