Noida and Greater Noida, situated in the Gautam Buddh Nagar district of western Uttar Pradesh, have emerged as one of India's most dynamic technology and electronics manufacturing hubs, contributing significantly to the state's economy and employment landscape. The twin cities are strategically located adjacent to Delhi and enjoy excellent connectivity through expressways, metro rail, and the upcoming Jewar International Airport, which is expected to further accelerate investment and business activity in the region. The information technology sector in Noida has grown substantially over the past two decades, with numerous multinational corporations, domestic IT companies, and business process outsourcing firms establishing offices and development centres in the city. Major technology parks and special economic zones including the STPI complex, Sector 62, and the Noida IT corridor host hundreds of IT and ITES companies that collectively employ hundreds of thousands of professionals. Greater Noida has distinguished itself as a hub for electronics manufacturing, particularly after the establishment of the Electronics Manufacturing Cluster under the central government's scheme. Several major smartphone manufacturers, including prominent Chinese and Indian brands, have set up large assembly and manufacturing plants in the region. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has been proactive in attracting investment to the Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway corridor, offering land at competitive rates and providing streamlined clearance processes. The establishment of a data centre park has been planned to capitalise on the growing demand for digital infrastructure. The Gautam Buddh International Circuit, a Formula One grade motor racing track, is located in Greater Noida and reflects the region's ambition to position itself as a world-class business and leisure destination. Educational and research institutions including various IITs, management institutes, and technical universities have established campuses in the area, creating a talent pipeline that supports the technology and manufacturing sectors.
